Kathleen Jean Gilbert

Kathleen Jean (Abbott) Gilbert, age 62, of Willoughby, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023, after a long illness.

Kathy was born February 23, 1961, in Erie, Pennsylvania and grew up In Leroy Twp, Ohio. She was a 1979 graduate from Riverside High School and recently worked at Air Equipment Rental Corp, Painesville, as branch administrator.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Jacky Wayne Gilbert, her father Carl Robison Sr., and her birth parents Richard & Mary Abbott.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Joyce Robison, her stepchildren Matthew Gilbert, and Amanda Massey (Douglas), grandchildren Owen and Ethan Massey, brothers Carl Lee Jr. (Lore) Robison, Ronald (Kim) Robison, Mark (Shelly) Robison, Michael Shaffer (Terry), sisters Sandra Yafanaro (Ronald), and Mary Susan Abbott (Don).

Kathy is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of long-time friends.

There will be a celebration of life for both Kathy and her husband Jack on September 16th at 11:00 am, at the Painesville United Methodist Church, 71 N. Park Place, Painesville, Ohio.

A private family burial will be held for both of them.
